Bikes For Kids
Bikes For Kids is a trademark Variety program. Working with schools and agencies, Variety identifies children, ages 5-12, that do not own their own bike, new or old. We ask the children to complete a form telling why they would like a new bike, where they would ride it and how they would take care of it. Once the forms are received, Variety notifies the children they have WON a new bike, lock and helmet.
Breakfast With Santa
Each December, 400 special education students from Cedar Rapids and surrounding school districts are invited to the Cedar Rapids Marriott for a morning filled with a nutritious breakfast, holiday music, storytelling and a chance to have a photo with Santa. Each child is sent home with a goodie bag filled with surprises from local businesses.
