WHAT IS THE COLOR RUN™?
The Color Run™ is a unique 5k run focused less on speed and more on crazy color fun with friends and family. There are two rules…1) begin with a white shirt and 2) be plastered with color at the finish line. The runners/walkers are blitzed with color…yellow, orange, pink & blue….at each kilometer, with the finish line being a color extravaganza.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
As the charity partner, Variety is seeking 400 volunteers to help with The Color Run™. Volunteer opportunities include check-in, start and finish line, water stations and color zone stations.

1:00 pm Race – 11:30 am – 3:30 pm

CAPTAINS OF FUN: These positions are for those who would rather stay clean, but still want to have an amazingly unique experience volunteering! Here's a short list of a few of the heroic jobs that you may be assigned to as volunteers! Race Day Check-In, Finish Line, Start Line, Water Stations, Color Store, Festival Help (revving up the crowd by dancing, distributing color to runners for the color throws, etc.) No matter what you're assigned to, we promise not to disappoint! It'll be an AWESOME time!
COLOR ZONES: Maybe the most unique volunteer job in the WORLD! Yeah, we said it. This job includes throwing powdered color at racers as they pass our 4 color stations. You will get really colorful (read: get head to toe fully covered in colored paint powder). Make sure that you wear old clothing, as they will get covered and stained, do not wear brand new shoes etc. You will also be the front line of our cleaning crew. Color Zone Volunteers will work for 30-40 minutes after the last runner passes to sweep and dispose of the excess color and prepare the course to be re-opened to the public. All color zone volunteers have to be over 16 years old, this is a high intensity job, you have to be able to follow directions and lift a minimum of 25 lbs. But act fast, these spots fill up. ***We promise to do our best at getting you a chance at being a color thrower, but this position will be a first come, first serve position for our volunteers. The earlier you get to the course on race day, the more likely you'll be to get this job!***
