Variety to Award Bikes to Kids at RAGBRAI 2017

Variety- the Children’s Charity believes every child deserves to ride! As part of Variety’s Bikes for Kids program, Variety has teamed up with RAGBRAI for the second year and will present brand new bikes, locks and helmets to deserving children in overnight towns during RAGBRAI 2017, July 23-29.

How does the program work? Variety will work with a local school or children’s organization in each overnight town to identify children who have never owned their own bike. From there, the children are invited to apply to win a new bike. All of the pre-selected children will be awarded a brand new bike, lock and helmet during a bike presentation at their overnight RAGBRAI celebration.

We hope you will join us for our bike presentations and cheer on these deserving kids! Variety’s RAGBRAI schedule is as follows:

Clear Lake – 5:30 p.m. at the Main Avenue Stage
Charles City – 4:30 p.m. on Main Stage at Jackson and Blunt
Cresco – 4:30 p.m. in front of the Cresco Theatre
Waukon – 4:00 p.m. in the parking lot between Kwik Star and Houg Insurance
