Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa and Young Variety to give away free backpacks and school supplies to King Elementary

Where: Riverview Park, 710 Corning Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313
Students and families who attend King Elementary School in Des Moines will join Variety this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Riverview Park to get ready to go back to school this fall! Incoming kindergarten through 5th grade students will receive a children’s grade-appropriate book, a backpack, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and a free dental screening. Lunch will be provided to King Elementary students courtesy of Hy-Vee.
There will be fun for the whole family with live musical performances at the Riverview amphitheater, a photo booth, princess appearances, arts and crafts, and more.
