Young Variety to host Valentine's Day date night fundraiser

Young Variety, the young professionals’ arm of Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa, announced that its signature Charity Date Night fundraising event is going virtual this year. In lieu of the in-person event, Young Variety is partnering with One Board Gal, a local charcuterie business, to offer a Valentine’s Day date night charcuterie package for donors to enjoy at home.
“While this isn’t our traditional Date Night event, we are still excited to provide a Valentine’s Day date night experience for our supporters to enjoy,” said Christina Tim, Young Variety Board President. “The Young Variety team has done a phenomenal job of continuing to pivot and finding unique ways to raise dollars in our current environment to support the Variety mission.”
Each package comes complete with two 8 oz. charcuterie boxes by One Board Gal, a bag of Almost Famous Popcorn, cookies from She Bakes Cookies, cookies from One Sweet Kitchen, and a bottle of wine.
Each charcuterie package costs $75 for pick-up or $100 for delivery anywhere in the Greater Des Moines area. Charcuterie packages can be purchased through Friday, February 5 at varietyiowa.com, and picked up on Friday, February 12 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines.
All proceeds will support Variety’s mission of caring for Iowa’s children.
