Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa was represented with a bow tie by Senior MLB Reporter Ken Rosenthal during the Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees game at the Field of Dreams.

Rosenthal is an official MLB dugout reporter and MLB Network insider who sports a different charity bow tie when covering MLB games. He selected Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa bow tie for the Field of Dreams game.

The Variety bow tie was created in 2012 in partnership with BowTie Cause, an organization that designs and sells bow ties to benefit nonprofit organizations across the nation. Rosenthal is an official ambassador of BowTie Cause.

“Variety partnered with BowTie Cause over eight years ago to design the Variety bow tie,” said Danny Beyer, board member at Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa. “At the time we had no idea that the Field of Dreams game would take place or that Variety would be represented by an MLB reporter covering the game. It was so exciting.”
