“I want to thank all those who support Variety and Iowa’s Children,” said Sheri McMichael, Executive Director of Variety- the Children’s Charity. “As a direct result of your generous support, Variety is able to grant funds for projects and programs that will directly benefit the lives of thousands of children”.

Variety funds eight different types of grants; acute, camperships, convalescent, variety at work, preventative, underprivileged, transportation, youth at risk. Organizations that receive Variety grants range in size and focus, but all share the goal of bettering the lives of children in Iowa.

This year’s grant recipients are Community Action Agency of Siouxland and the Crittenton Center. Both organizations will be using the funds to make improvements to their facilities. The Community Action Agency funds will be used to install new, energy efficient in their preschool room.   The Crittenton Center will be making improvements to its front porch.

Variety is dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged, at-risk and special needs children throughout Iowa.
